Our Commitments
The CIMC-ICDM commits itself to:
- Steer a collaborative initiative to develop and propagate such evidence based knowledge and training as to enhance global Disaster Medicine capabilities.

- Commit to the creation of standards and best practices, the certification of approved training and testing centers, and establishment of a globally recognized credential of core competency in Disaster Medicine.
- Advance a common framework and lexicon related to Disaster Medicine that can be translated into multiple languages and applicable to myriad cultures.
Those commitments will increase the collaborative capacity of both organizations and individuals to cooperate, better knowing that no matter how national team are taught, certified, and trained, they will have to work with counterparts from other nations as well as local rescue teams, and thus need to share a common operational construct.
